The silicone bottle pulls open easily with a grab-tab. You can open it as much as you need (i.e. if you only need half a bottle of water). It folds back up easily. In the "closed" position, it is roughly the size of a regular (not large) coffee mug. Fully extended, the bottle balances upright on the bottom well. The shape is sensible, making the bottle easy to handle and use. It should fit into a variety of cup holders.
In the spout is a perforated layer which filters out things like ice, tea leaves, or pieces of fruit. That layer will also serve to help control any sloshing. The perforated layer means that you can generate a "shower" with this bottle. Handy for moms to quickly clean up the kids at Disneyland; for sandy feet at the beach; or, if you are a gardener, for watering your seedlings, bonsai, or other delicate plants (and it might work for dust applications under the leaves too, although I haven't tried this).
Under the spout cap is the screw ring and a cylinder inside the lip of this sport foldable water bottle wholesale. The cylinder comes out, which enables you to clean underneath it. I didn't try it yet but I believe you can reverse the spout cap and fasten everything in place with the handle loop for storage.
The mouth of the bottle with the spout cap removed is wide, so you can add ice cubes, or you could even eat out of this. Maybe stash a few crudites or fruit pieces in with your water for a snack, or use it as a compacting snack jar. Heck you could even use this to grow sprouts, which would be a nice thing to have on a hiking or camping trip. I didn't see any temperature commentary on the information enclosed with the product, so I don't know if you can use it for hot beverages or foods.
The bottle I received did not have any silicone (or other) bad smells; everything looked pristine and well fitted. The color I requested is a pretty, deep turquoise blue, with an unobtrusive black logo. The silicone feels sturdy and is comfortable to handle. I like that it is opaque; hey, I'm not going to judge on what kind of beverages you might consider carrying in it to a ball game or your cubicle or whatever. I also think this bottle is just plain fun, as it's a little different. I have to say I kind of hate the look of regular water bottles. This one is a little kinetic sculpture.
